I started roughly 3 weeks ago and could only jog about 50 yards without stopping. My legs were on fire. But at least my breathing was heavy enough, I could have put it out. Over the weeks I was jogging (and even doing a little up hill action) and walking to build up my leg muscles. They are much stronger now and I am improving my stamina. At the end of May I did 1/2 mile without stopping, so I was very happy about that. My goal is to reach 3 miles by the end of the year. My new shoes are proving to be very beneficial. My ankles aren’t hurting anymore and my knees feel better when I run, but as I said they are bad from way back so we’ll have to see.
